Week 30

Cabbage

Length

39.9 cm / 15.7 in

Weight

1319 g / 46.5 oz

Your baby's brain is developing billions of neurons this week and is beginning to look like the wrinkled brain of a newborn.

Development at Week 30

At 30 weeks, approximately 250 milliliters of amniotic fluid surrounds your baby, though this will begin to decrease over the coming weeks as the baby grows larger. The lanugo that has covered your baby's body is starting to shed as the fat layer thickens to take over the role of insulation. Your baby may respond to music or a familiar story with increased movement.

Next week

At week 31, your baby will be the size of a Coconut.
