Pregnancy Duas — Asking Allah for Your Child

أَدْعِيَةُ الْحَمْلِ

These are the words the prophets used when asking Allah for children — Ibrahim asking for righteousness, the servants of the Most Merciful asking for comfort of the eyes. Recited over a growing pregnancy, they attach the deepest hopes for the child to the One who is forming them.

رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ

Does my baby benefit from dhikr in the womb?

The baby is part of the mother's state — calm earned through remembrance reaches the womb physiologically, and the dua itself is heard by Allah regardless. Many scholars also encourage reciting Quran aloud during pregnancy so its sounds surround the child from the beginning.
