Surah An-Nas During Pregnancy — Calm for an Anxious Heart

Surah An-Nas During Pregnancy — Calm for an Anxious Heart

سُورَةُ النَّاسِ
Where Al-Falaq shields from external harm, An-Nas turns inward — seeking refuge in mankind's Lord, King, and God from the retreating whisperer who plants fear and dark thoughts in the chest.
Pregnancy can amplify anxious whispers: about the baby's health, the birth, the future. The Quran's final surah names that whisperer and prescribes the refuge — recited morning, evening, and whenever the thoughts press in.

Surah An-Nas — complete

Qul a'udhu birabbin-nas. Malikin-nas. Ilahin-nas. Min sharril-waswasil-khannas. Alladhi yuwaswisu fi sudurin-nas. Minal-jinnati wan-nas
Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the evil of the retreating whisperer, who whispers in the breasts of mankind, among jinn and among people.

When to Recite It

Three times morning and evening with Al-Ikhlas and Al-Falaq, once after each prayer, before sleep — and at any moment anxiety whispers. It pairs naturally with the dhikr for anxiety: Hasbiyallahu la ilaha illa Huwa.
